Bring on the wheeled wonders! The Bachman Lake Skate Park officially opened in May to much anticipation and celebration. The inaugural cermony was filled with accolades, tributes and great anticipation as restless skaters looked on, teasing their skills while the ribbon cutting took place the way a baseball batter takes practice swings before stepping up to the plate. Soon after the apsplause died down, the park was buzzing with a full-on skating display that did not disappoint. We think this addition to Bachman Lake Park is going to be popular. Just sayin'.

The Online session of Neighbors in the Know, a collaboration between Friends of Bachman Lake and the Bachman/Northwest Highway Community Association, took place on January 13, 2025. The session featured an update from Dallas Park and Recreation, including the new skate park as well as a discussion for better using and labeling complaints under the Dallas 311 program.
