Friends of Bachman Lake
2023 Giving Tuesday
If you've been following us, you know what great progress we've made at the Bachman Lake Park greenbelt, connecting the eastern part of the park with the main lake area trail. This could not have started without your help. We have a few items that still need attention as you begin enjoying the seamless experience between the main park and the greenbelt. For one thing, invasive species still need removal and this takes multiple seasons to accomplish. Our parks department does a tremendous job but budgets can only take you so far. This is why we rely on your generosity to keep Bachman Lake Park beautiful for all to enjoy. Now that you've scored some sweet deals, won't you conisider one more? Please share with your friends and neighbors because we're all in this together and Bachman Lake Park is for everyone to enjoy!
2023 NTXGD On Rotation
On Rotation Brewery & Kitchen on Lemmon Avenue will be allowing you to round up your tab each day from the 19th through the 24th of September with proceeds going to Friends of Bachman Lake! We're honored by their gesture and to celebrate we'll be joining the festivities on Thursday, September 21 at 6pm! Come see us and help make Bachman Lake Park an amazing place to be!
2023 Social Saturday Cleanup
#GreenspaceDallas and #FoBL teamed up for Social Saturday on August 26 to give some more TLC to the paths being created along the #BachmanLake Park Greenbelt. What an amazing job our friends at Greenspace Dallas have done! You can now see what a wonderful trek it will be between the main park and the Greenbelt to the east. This video looks westward toward the park where you can see the Embassy Suites (on Northwest Highway) in the distance. We're already seeing curious bikers along the path which has a bit of work left. We can complete this with your help! Please donate.
2023 Cleanup with Southwest Airlines and SCA
What a day we had cleaning up Bachman Lake Park on May 2nd, 2023. Thanks to Dallas Park and Recreation @DallasParkRec , @Southwest Airlines, the Student Conservation Association @the_sca and @thetrashytexan we were able to spread 30 cu. yards of mulch, pick up 618 lbs of trash and debris, and create wildflower seed balls for participants to take and spread in their own local nature spots! Thank you from Friends of Bachman Lake!
