Hey Bachman Lakers - The Bond Election is here!

Voting for the 2024 City of Dallas Bond has begun. Since our inception, Friends of Bachman Lake has been advocating for greater accessibility and investment in Bachman Lake Park. We have our chance again to get things done.
The 2024 City of Dallas Bond includes $4.75M of direct investment in Bachman Lake Park. The Bachman Lake Park bond projects include:
Renovation of the Bachman Lake Recreation Center Auditorium ($1.5M)
Construction of new environmentally friendly parking lot for aquatics center andskatepark ($1.5M)
Replacement of Playground next to the historic Bachman Lake Pavilion ($750K)
Replacement of the all-abilities playground near Bachman Recreation Center ($750K)
Fund to improve connectivity and trials within Bachman Lake Park ($250K)
Other projects outside of the park which could help with accessibility to Bachman Lake include the reconstruction of Shorecrest Drive from Harry Hines to Lemmon, and funding to assist with developing Denton drive into a “complete street” with bike lanes.

The total bond package will be separated into 10 proposals, each designated with a letter to give Dallas residents a vote on each. Our local CBS News station offers more details on each proposal.
