Jami Johnson, Public Service Specialist, City of Dallas | Dallas Public Library – Bachman Lake Branch
The Bachman Lake Branch library is just around the corner! We have plenty of places to sit and take a break, a large collection of books, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks for all ages, and a variety of fun programs. We would love to have you stop by and see us to make a library card or pick up a program calendar. Our programs [for all branches] can also be found at https://dallaslibrary.librarymarket.com/.
If you didn’t know, it’s easy to get a library card! Just come visit us and bring any photo ID. If your ID does not have your current address, bring any photo ID and proof of your Dallas address. This could be your lease agreement, utility bills, passport, online bill, or a letter on letterhead from a shelter.
We also offer enhanced library cards, which show the recipient’s photo, name, address, date of birth and phone number. Just ask us at the front desk if you are interested!
Children that live in Dallas or attend a school within Dallas city limits may also get a library card. The parent/guardian must present photo ID and address verification or the child's report card and/or ID (valid for schools within the City of Dallas only). The child does not need to be present if the guardian has the child's school registration, birth certificate, or other means of identification.
We hope to see you at the Bachman Lake Branch Library! See our info below:
